Due to the widespread outbreak of the coronavirus (COVID-19), the Aberafan Shopping Centre has decided to postpone its spring fashion show to a later date.

The highly anticipated annual event was due to take place on Saturday 28th March and would have consisted of three runway shows as well as some live entertainment.

However, the health and wellbeing of customers and staff at the Aberafan Shopping Centre is the most important priority at this time, which is why the difficult decision has been made to postpone the event.

Steve Redmore, Centre Manager, said:

“It is with regret that we have decided to postpone the Aberafan Shopping Centre’s spring fashion show.

“This was a decision we did not take lightly, as staff and customers thoroughly enjoy and look forward to the annual event. However, due to current concerns surrounding the coronavirus, we need to uphold our duty of care to those who visit and work in the centre.

“We would also like to reassure our customers that we are open and trading as usual, however we urge that they follow the government guidelines relating to hygiene measures whilst shopping with us.”

While the Aberafan Shopping Centre is operating as normal, measures have been taken to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for customers.

The Aberafan Shopping Centre urges all members of the public with any symptoms relating to COVID-19 to refrain from visiting the centre and to follow NHS advice.
