Lockdown Fails to Hinder Start Up Success for Natural Cosmetics
LLansamlet man Stephen Jones has proved it’s possible to thrive amid a pandemic, having launched new start-up Natural Cosmetics.
The former product developer for South Wales success story Naissance, recently launched the company after being inspired by their success and later gaining e-commerce experience at his new employer, Veeqo.
Jones explains:
“I dreamed of owning my own business while working at Naissance, and am proud to have played a part in their incredible success. My combination of cosmetics and ecommerce experience gave me the confidence to launch my own venture – I already had the plan, and lockdown provided me with the time and motivation to get it started!
“I’m still working full time to provide the funding I need while the business gets off the ground, but I’m confident it will succeed, because we have the right products and the right platform to sell them.
“2020 has been really tough on a lot of businesses, but being stuck at home gave me the opportunity to launch a business I’ve wanted to do for a long time – there is so much artificial rubbish in the cosmetic products that people use every day and most people have no idea! I’m excited about providing people with a natural, vegan alternative.”
Natural Cosmetics currently sell “Lush Locks”, an organic, vegan-friendly hair oil – and they already have plans to expand the product range later this year with a hand butter, a beard oil and an “anti-aging” oil planned already.
