A Mold-based PR agency has picked up four prestigious industry awards for its campaigns alongside two other north Wales companies.

Outwrite PR claimed trophies within two different regions of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) PRide awards; Cymru Wales and East Anglia.

Its work with Ruthin-based Jones Bros Civil Engineering UK and Cambridgeshire County Council won gold awards at the CIPR East Anglia awards in the best construction and infrastructure, and integrated communications categories.

Judges praised the “considered and focused” campaign as well as its “multi-pronged tactical approach to inform, educate, and build trust during the pandemic”.

The agency also collected a silver medal for best publication.

The activity managed by Outwrite has included stakeholder engagement on a £32m level crossing scheme with regular community updates, focused media activity, the creation of an interactive CGI web page, and a quarterly print newsletter.

Marketing manager at Jones Bros Lynne Williams said: “Outwrite has been a vital link in the chain between us and the local community during this project and we are thrilled that the planning and delivery of the campaign has secured this success.”

Outwrite’s work with Xplore! Science Discovery Centre was amongst the winners at the CIPR Cymru Wales awards, collecting a silver award in the best STEM campaign category.

The agency, which was also shortlisted for small PR agency of the year in the CIPR Cymru Wales awards, worked to raise awareness of Xplore!’s reopening to the public after a relocation to the Wrexham town centre and following a national lockdown.

Xplore! Science Discovery Centre’s business development and stakeholder engagement officer Katie Williams said: “The work put in by Outwrite made a massive impact when it came to relaunching Xplore! in the best possible manner and it’s encouraging to see that work being widely recognised as well.”

Outwrite PR managing director Anthony Bullick said: “Being recognised at an industry level by our peers is a strong showcasing of the fantastic work the team delivers daily.

“We are focused on delivering truly integrated PR activities across various channels and collecting four awards from two UK regions shows our work is making an impact not only in those fields, but also most importantly to our clients.”

The awards continue a strong year for the Mold-based firm, which was named small PR agency of the year at the Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA) Cymru Wales Dare earlier in 2021.

Outwrite’s clients include one of the UK’s largest rural broadband specialists Voneus, Jones Bros Civil Engineering UK, Warrington-based Watsons Solicitors and dementia specialist care home group Meddyg Care.

The agency specialises in integrated PR and communications, crisis PR, online reputation management and social media training.
