Parents and guardians of new babies who are aged up to eight months in Bridgend County Borough are being invited to take part in new Active Baby At Home sessions.

The sessions, which are free and will take place at Griffin Park Community Centre in Porthcawl (CF36 5DN), are designed to help adults and babies interact together using playful activities that support their physical development and well-being.

With six sessions planned in total, the first will take place on Wednesday 4 May between 11am-12noon and will feature an introductory coffee morning where participants will be able to find out more and get to know one another.

Each session will be based around fun topics that are important for a baby’s physical development such as rolling, crawling and ‘tummy time’ activities.

They will also focus upon issues such as ways to develop a baby’s motor development skills, the importance of socialising and taking babies out and about, singing songs and nursery rhymes and more.

All play equipment will be provided as well as helpful videos and activity cards, and you can find out more and book a place by emailing ActiveTogetherWales@earlyyears.wales
