Police confirm no child is missing after rumours circulate on social media

A number of social media posts were in circulation over the recent bank holiday weekend which wrongly claimed that a six year old child had gone missing in the Ogmore Valley.

The social media posts, which were shared multiple times, also suggested that an organised search was underway with a South Wales Police helicopter in attendance.

However, South Wales Police have since confirmed that this is not true – no reports of missing children have been received, and no organised search is taking place.
