Summer happens to be the favourite season for most people and that is why it’s important to not overlook cleaning duties that would make your day-to-day activities even more pleasurable. With that being said we have outlined the top three summer cleaning tips and the best way to approach them as advised by end of tenancy cleaning in reading.

If you are like most people, staying at home without an air conditioner is not an option hence our first tip:

1: Clean the air conditioner filter.

Step One: It’s a pretty straightforward cleaning process. The first thing you need to do is determine the location of your filter and take it out carefully. It would most probably be near the cold air return so take a quick look or Google your air conditioner’s model for more information.

Step Two: You can start to vacuum the filter while the air conditioner is shut down. Vacuuming with a bristled attachment would work best so make sure you have one.

Step Three: Soak the filter in a mixture of water and vinegar. (read the manual and check if the filter can get wet because some models shouldn’t get wet)

Step Four: Dry the filter for about one-two hours and re-install the filter to the air conditioner.

2: Wash the windows

Step one: Prepare two different scrubbers.

One for inside the house and one for outside—so you don’t carry dirt, dust, and bird excrement inside the home. It’s important to keep in mind that not just for efficiency but a healthy cleaning process and longer-lasting results.

Step two: Prepare your cleaning spray by yourself.

You can always go out and buy one but you can create one quite easily. Just mix hot water with dish soap and put the liquid in a spray bottle. If you want you can always add a few drops of vinegar.

Step three: Clean the window ledge.

Carpet Cleaning Wimbledon recommend the best way to do this is with a toothbrush. Just open the window, spray out the ledge and remove all the dirt and insects that might have been stuck there. Most of the time it’s difficult to do it with a cloth as the dirt has been piling up for a while and the toothbrush would allow you to clean everything quickly.

3: Clean Kitchen Cabinets

Kitchen cabinets are often the most used area of your home,  and they can get sticky and dirty quickly, so doing a proper clean-up at the beginning of the summer is a must. Cleaning the kitchen cabinets at your home can be enjoyable if you just know what do to.

Step one: Mix hot water and dish soap.

Mix hot water with a bit of dish soap and leave it for a few minutes. Soak half of the cloth you have prepared and start cleaning the cabinets while paying extra attention to the areas just around the knobs

Step two: Dry with a clean cloth.

You can always dry them with a clean cloth and wait a few minutes to for a good dry out after which you can have a closure look and see if you missed some spots. If that is the case you can always repeat the process until you are satisfied.

Following those simple summer cleaning steps would make your home feel fresher and most importantly it would really bring that summer vibe into the house so you can enjoy the season to its fullest.
