Employability Bridgend’s ‘Summer of Fun’ events are already proving popular with local families, with over 150 children attending the first fun day held at Bryngarw Country Park last week.

The ‘Summer of Fun’ events will be running throughout the school holidays, entertaining children as well as highlighting what the council’s Employability Bridgend team can offer adults.

Maesteg Welfare Park and Bryngarw Country Park will be hosting free activities throughout August. Arts and crafts, games, nature bingo and quiz challenges are just some of the activities available to the children, aged four to 11 years, without the need to book.

The activity sessions will be held on:

Monday 8 August – Bryngarw Country Park 10am-1pm

Tuesday 9 August – Maesteg Welfare Park 1-3pm

Thursday 11 August – Maesteg Welfare Park 1-4.30pm

Monday 15 August – Bryngarw Country Park 10am-1pm

Thursday 18 August – Maesteg Welfare Park 10am-1pm

Monday 22 August – Bryngarw Country Park 10am-1pm
