Mavericks Wales expands its events and hospitality service
Mavericks Wales has won a contract to host a series of classic car and motorbike auctions.
The Holywell based community-owned company, which started out five years ago as a specialist motorcycle repair and restoration business, is expanding its events and hospitality service.
Specialist auction house Hampson Auctions has chosen the North Wales venue to hold two auctions of classic, modern classic and prestige cars and motorbikes before the end of the year.
The first auction takes place on Wednesday, September 28th at 1pm with a second event to follow on Tuesday, November 29th at 1pm.
Other events that have been arranged include weekly Bikes & Banter evenings every Thursday at 6pm and a Classic & Sportscar night at 6pm on Tuesdays.
To support the growth of the new service, Mavericks has taken on a number of new full-time and part-time staff and is recruiting more.
Visitor parking has been extended to accommodate 300 vehicles and the venue includes a café and coffee shop and the first alcohol-free bar in Wales.
Richard Clarke, founder of Mavericks Wales, which is based at Mostyn Road Business Park in Holywell, said: “It is a great coup for us to host Hampson’s Classics Auctions and we’re looking forward to welcoming them.
“We have a fantastic venue with plenty of space to park and we’re keen to grow this side of the business. It’s also a perfect place for business networking events, book clubs, charity events and youth development.
“We have just taken on four new people to support our growth and we’re looking for more hospitality staff to expand our team. We’re proud to have built an inclusive and welcoming community that is making such a difference to people’s lives.
“The growth of the business is allowing us to create jobs for people from a diverse range of backgrounds.”
