Robert Price Nominated as Welsh Housing Awards Finalists
Robert Price, the largest independent builders’ merchants in South East Wales, have been nominated for two Welsh Housing Awards.
Recognising and celebrating the creativity, passion and innovation of housing organisations and businesses across the Welsh sector, the Awards provide an opportunity for people to celebrate projects that have helped tenants, customers and even communities.
The Welsh merchant, with nearly 200 years of industry experience, have been nominated in two categories, ‘Excellence in Housing Innovation’ and ‘Sustainability in Housing’.
Like many others, the housing sector is faced with the challenge of reducing carbon emissions, with the aim of reaching the Welsh Governments’ net-zero targets for public sector entities by 2030.
With the opening of their Sustainable Energy Centre earlier this year, Robert Price are working towards this common goal of cutting carbon emissions.
The Centre informs and educates operatives, installers, general builders and tradesmen on net zero carbon solutions, whilst its Training Academy helps to upskill Welsh workforces, enabling the fitting and maintenance of new renewable technologies and systems.
“We are so thrilled to have been shortlisted for not just one, but two of the Welsh Housing Awards!”, said Molly Pike, Marketing Director at Robert Price.
“Our primary aim with the Sustainable Energy Centre has and continues to be cutting carbon emissions, and we’re delighted to have been recognised as a project that could make a real difference.”
The Awards take place on the 18th November at the Celtic Manor Resort, Newport.
