Stagecoach event to promote job opportunities in Merthyr Tydfil
Following the success of a driver recruitment day held by Stagecoach in Merthyr Tydfil, the company is holding a further event to raise awareness of current job opportunities available.
Today (Thursday October 20) a Stagecoach ‘street team’ will be at Merthyr Tydfil Bus Station from 10am until 2pm to give out information about the requirements for and benefits of becoming a bus driver.
Stagecoach will provide full paid training for anyone who successfully applies for a driver job and assist them through training for their PCV (Passenger Carrying Vehicle) licence, worth around £4,000.
Potential candidates will be invited for interview on the day and helped with applications or any questions about the jobs available.
Mark Tunstall, Head of Operations, Stagecoach South Wales said: “We’re committed to providing reliable bus services across Merthyr Tydfil for our customers and are looking to employ people in the local communities who can provide great customer service.
“We love getting out there and meeting our customers and we’d like to thank them for their loyalty, patience and understanding. So please come along and say hi.”
