It’s time – after anticipation, Marks & Spencer has reopened its amazing, upgraded store at St David’s in Cardiff.

With local Welsh suppliers who work with M&S and a very smartly dressed Percy Pig (wearing his Welsh bowtie) by his side, M&S Store Manager Paul Lewis declared the store ‘agor’, proudly cutting the M&S ribbon.

 

On the day, M&S gave away , golden tickets to the first 200 customers through the door with a guaranteed prize including free bags of Percy Pigs, freshly baked cookies from the M&S bakery, or a £200 voucher.

 

The revamped M&S is home to a modern, fresh market-feel Foodhall complete with new displays and features, sure to ‘wow’. Plus, an easier to navigate, new and improved Clothing and Home department, spanning the same three floors as before.

 

In the new-look Foodhall, customers can find fresh fruit and veg aisles brimming with the best quality produce.

 

Highlights include fresh displays brimming with great quality and trusted value produce from M&S Select Farms (brilliant value Fresh Market specials this week include sweetheart cabbages for just 65p and a bag of British cox apples for only 85p). As well as this, the new instore bakery is offering a wide range of freshly baked breads, cakes and pastries daily, including the latest M&S Collect Sourdough loaves and the brand-new M&S Collection Christmas Sourdough, created and supplied by family run Welsh bakers Village Jones Bakery, based in Wrexham. The festive Sourdough is packed with fried crispy onions, sage and cranberries, and topped with whole pumpkin seeds – YUMMY!

 

With a new range of the M&S Remarksable products – including Super Soft sliced bread, RSPCA Assured fresh milk, and beef mince from trusted M&S Select Farmers – the new Foodhall delivers trusted value for local customers and makes it easier than ever for families to do their weekly shop at M&S Cardiff.

 

A new ‘hot food on the move’ area and a bigger and better variety of flowers and plants, arranged in a modern neon-lit display, help create a better and fresher shopping experience.

 

Joining the re-opening day celebrations was M&S’ local Welsh supplier Castle Dairies who make a range of great tasting Welsh butter for M&S stores.

Congratulations to the store team on the Cardiff renovation – the Foodhall looks great, and the customers seem to be loving the enhanced shopping experience already.”

 

The revamped M&S Cardiff is one of the first in Wales to offer a refurbished Clothing & Home department across all three floors. With new table layouts, lighting and digital services, customers can notice a brighter and more modern look and feel when shopping the latest Autumn / Winter collections across womenswear, kidswear and menswear.

New digital click and collect, return machines and self-service tills make it more efficient and more enjoyable for all to shop, collect, drop off and return.
