Welsh ICE Awarded Bronze Quality Mark from EWC Wales for Exceptional Support of Young People
Welsh ICE, a leading coworking space in Caerphilly, Wales, has been awarded a bronze Quality Mark by the Education Workforce Council (EWC Wales). This prestigious accolade recognizes Welsh ICE’s commitment to providing exceptional business support and resources to young people, and highlights the company’s dedication to fostering a positive and inclusive environment for its members.
The Quality Mark is awarded to organisations that demonstrate a high level of competence and commitment to supporting young people in the workplace. Welsh ICE was evaluated on a number of criteria, including their approach to developing and delivering high-quality training and development programs, as well as their ability to create a safe and supportive environment for young people.
Andrew Borsden, Development Officer for the Quality Mark at the Education Workforce Council (EWC) said:
“Throughout their assessment, the team at ICE demonstrated their commitment to delivering high quality youth work provision. The motivation and enthusiasm of the staff was a pleasure to see – congratulations to everyone involved.”
ICE Academy Manager, Tom Phillips, who heads up the Welsh ICE youth training programmes said:
“At Welsh ICE, we believe in the power of collaboration and community to drive innovation and progress. Our ICE Academy offering provides a supportive and dynamic environment where young people can come together to network, learn, and grow. Our goal is to empower the next generation of entrepreneurs and leaders to succeed, and the bronze Quality Mark from EWC Wales is a testament to our ongoing efforts in this area.”
Welsh ICE Community Manager, Rachel Harris added:
“Welsh ICE is thrilled to have received this recognition from EWC Wales, as it highlights the positive impact that our coworking space and training programmes are having on the young people of Wales. Our members are at the heart of everything we do, and we are committed to providing them with the support and resources they need to succeed. Whether it’s through offering access to mentorship and networking opportunities, or providing a supportive and inclusive community, Welsh ICE is dedicated to helping young people reach their full potential.
The bronze Quality Mark is a significant achievement for Welsh ICE, and we are proud to be recognised for our efforts to support young people. We would like to take this opportunity to thank our members, partners, and the wider Welsh ICE community for their ongoing support and commitment to our mission.”
This month, Welsh ICE is launching their next cohort of the 5-9 Club, a fully accredited after hours business course for individuals aged 16-24 based in and around Blaenau Gwent. The programme aims to provide young people with the resources and support they need to start their own businesses and earns attendees an Agored Level 2 in Exploring and Planning in Entrepreneurship.
Welsh ICE believes that this initiative will have a major impact on the young people of Wales and is eager to see their growth and success.
Welsh ICE is part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund through the Welsh Government.
