Porthcawl artist Ann Marie launches unique bespoke gift painting business after illness

Porthcawl Artist Ann Marie Eynon is celebrating the launch of her new website, Paintings by Ann Marie, which offers handpainted bespoke gifts for children and special occasions such as weddings and christenings.

Ann Marie launched her new venture following an ill health diagnosis which saw her re-evaluate her priorities and launch her lifestyle gift business, creating the type of bespoke hand painted gifts she would have previously sought out for friends and family members.

The paintings are designed with gifts in mind, and all of them can be personalised with a choice of hand-drawn calligraphy styles. They are an ideal personal gift for special occasions such as weddings and christenings, as well as being the perfect décor to brighten up a nursery wall. Anne Marie explains:

“Following a period of ill health, I decided to do something I enjoyed, which made me happy – and hopefully provide something other people will love too. These paintings are the result, I have created the kind of unique gift I had always tried to seek out, but was unable to find.”

“I have always loved painting and have drawn my inspiration from nature – and from the childhood stories I remember so well, where the world contained fairies and unicorns as well as animals and butterflies. I’m the kind of person who likes to give unique gifts rather than something straight from the High Street, and always struggled to find something that was affordable but not mass-produced.

“I’ve had really positive feedback, my work has been described as “light and airy, with an ethereal quality”, but really I just wanted to create something people would enjoy giving as much as I enjoy painting them!”
