ESG and PR seminar to boost effective communications
A North Wales-based PR agency is aiming to arm businesses with the skills and expertise to elevate their communications and marketing around environmental, social, and governance (ESG).
Outwrite PR is hosting a free seminar covering topics including net zero, social value, greenwashing, and ESG reports.
The company will focus on practical guidance and actions to encourage brands to continue building trust with key stakeholders.
Speakers from Outwrite, which was shortlisted for ESG consultancy of the year in 2022, will show examples of how organisations drip-feed content across paid, earned, shared, and owned media as well as provide tips and advice for implementing it going forward.
In addition, the workshop will take attendees through the process of producing an engaging and impactful environmental, social, and governance report.
Outwrite managing director Anthony Bullick, who has spoken about the subject at a range of PR and business events across Wales, said: “There is a huge amount of pressure and expectation on businesses beyond profit.
“Stakeholders including employees, clients, politicians, and local residents are looking for companies to play a role in tackling the climate crisis as well as act on societal issues and concerns.
“This session has been created based on the questions we’re frequently asked as well as the main challenges we see brands face every day, including content ideas and which marketing and PR channels to use as part of the mix.”
Outwrite, which was named small PR consultancy of the year for the third time in a row at the Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA) Cymru awards in May, is also inviting questions ahead of the workshop.
Tom Norris, news and content manager at the agency, said: “ESG and PR are both fast-moving disciplines and require constant attention to follow best practice and achieve success.
“Our goal with this seminar is to support brands and empower them to communicate effectively with stakeholders, specifically regarding efforts to reduce their carbon emissions, putting people at the heart of their operations, and adhering to the numerous legislations and regulations needed to run an organisation.
“We urge people to book early as places are limited.”
The event takes place at Coleg Cambria’s Business School in Northop on Tuesday 26 September, with registration and refreshments from 9am and a finish time of 11.30am.
Outwrite’s clients include construction firm Wynne Construction, Jones Bros Civil Engineering UK, Warrington-based Watsons Solicitors, and mechanical and electrical (M+E) contractor Ash Integrated Services.
The agency specialises in integrated PR, crisis PR and online reputation management.
