Event held to celebrate Social Work Week
Denbighshire’s social work team held a recent event on March 19th to celebrate Social Work Day. This day is part of Social Work Week, which runs from the 18th to 22nd of March.
At the event held in County Hall in Ruthin, Denbighshire’s Social Work team sat down for an informal chat with people who are interested in the field and employees of the wider social care workforce to discuss all things social work.
There was also a chance for a question and answer with local social workers as well as an opportunity to ask questions about what is happening locally and nationally.
There will also be further sessions happening throughout this week.
Councillor Elen Heaton, Lead Member for Health and Social Care said:
“Our Social Work team work incredibly hard throughout the whole of our County, and so I think it is great that we get a whole week to celebrate them.
This event was a great opportunity for people who are interested or involved in the field to discuss and learn more about Social Work within Denbighshire.”
