Welsh Air Conditioning Company Win Employer & Apprentice of the Year Awards

Snap Services has won an Employer of the Year award at the 2024 Cardiff & Vale College awards.

The company described the win as a ‘huge honour’.  The Cardiff-based company specialises in all elements of Air Conditioning, from service and maintenance to design, installation and compliance.

Having guided seven apprentices through Cardiff & Vale College since forming their company in 2015, and with all seven apprentices still working for Snap today as engineers excelling in their roles, the company believe this is a testament to both how valued employees feel as well as a credit to hard work of the employees themselves.

Director Nathan Kersley said: “To be recognised for giving back to the industry that we’re passionate about is so important to us, and this award truly does mean so much.”

“We’re a very close, tight-knit team and genuinely believe that we have some of the very best AC engineers in our industry who are the face of our company. This represents us exceptionally well at the site level, as they are always proactive and go the extra mile for our clients. We’re very proud of our team and what we have built, but we are also always keen to keep adding talent to the company.”

Snap Services was set up by Nathan and fellow Director Peter Hopson in 2015. After several years working together at their previous company, they combined their skills and knowledge in the Air Conditioning business and built their own company in Snap Services Ltd.

This led them to win the Employer of the Year award at the 2024 Cardiff & Vale College Awards, with the Cardiff & Vale College commenting;

“Snap Services has gone from strength to strength since 2015. During this time, Nathan and Peter employed 7 apprentices, all of whom are still with the company and excelling in their roles. Snap Services believes in giving back and they see this as their way to encourage future generations of engineers. They work closely with and have an excellent working relationship with the College and the Work Based Learning team. It is a pleasure to be working closely with Snap Services.”
