Finalists for CIPD Wales Awards 2019 revealed
Businesses and organisations from across Wales have been recognised for their excellent standards of HR and people development practices with the release of the shortlist for the CIPD Wales 2019 Awards.
CIPD Wales, the professional body for HR and people development, will celebrate the cream of the crop of the thousands of individuals in HR across Wales at its annual awards ceremony. This year’s awards will take place at Cardiff’s City Hall on Friday 15th November.
The awards, which are now in their third year, will see 45 companies, teams, and individuals shortlisted across nine categories. Finalists range from Welsh Government and Bridgend College, Iceland and Castell Howell Foods, to Hafod Housing Association.
The awards will be judged by recognised industry professionals including Dr Margaret Inman, head of Swansea Business School and Mark Stevenson, regional director of people and organisational development for South Wales Police who will be looking for outstanding individuals and teams in Wales across HR, learning, and people development.
Commenting on this year’s awards,head of CIPD Wales, Lesley Richards, said:
“This is our third year of the Wales awards and it’s amazing to see how it has grown year-on-year. The quality and detail of the nominations we receive is incredible and the competition gets stiffer each year.
“It is becoming increasingly important for the industry to develop fresh ideas to tackle issues affecting our society and, therefore, our workforce. The real focus is how we best respond as HR professionals to the very human nature of our work. This year’s nominations feature great examples of how to develop successful strategies to support our staff in all areas of their life.Our nominees are at the forefront of the profession and serve as inspiration for organisations looking to improve HR and people development across Wales – good luck to everyone!”
