Great British Bake Off stars set to cook up a trick or treat at Redrow’s Great Milton Park development

Stars of the Great British Bake Off Val and Louise will be back baking for this year’s Halloween celebrations at Redrow’s Great Milton Park development in Newport.

On Saturday 26th October, from 11am to 3pm, prospective buyers and the local community are invited to the development for a day filled with seasonal activities in the build up to Halloween.

Val Stones and Louise Williams, whose expert skills in the kitchen were put to the test on the Channel 4 show back in 2016, will be creating some sweet and savoury Halloween themed treats as part of a baking demonstration. Visitors will get the chance to enhance their baking skills, taste some delicious creations as well as get answers to any of their burning baking questions.

At the event there will also be a pumpkin carver who being carving pumpkins with designs on request.

Louise, who is from Cardiff commented:

“I feel it is important to show that baking can be done in a normal household kitchen.

“Baking is my bliss and I relish the opportunity to pass on some hints and tips I have picked up over the years!”

Bev Wookey, sales director at Redrow South Wales, said:

“We are thrilled to have Val and Louise at our Halloween themed event at Great Milton Park this year.

“These seasonal events are a great way for us to engage with the local community as well as show potential homeowners what life would be like in a Redrow home as well as learn some new skills such as baking and pumpkin carving.

“Members of the sales team will be on hand to answer any questions visitors may have and with face painting for kids there will be something for everyone at this event.

The development, which has a range of three and four-bedroom homes available from £262,995 at The Hollies and £361,995 at The Cedars, has two schemes for potential buyers to utilise to make the process as smooth as possible.

Redrow’s Early Bird scheme, available on selected plots, allows potential homebuyers to reserve their desired property before it has been released for sale.

Meanwhile, the Help to Sell scheme supports potential new house buyers who need to sell their home by arranging valuations, appointing estate agents and taking care of all the paperwork. Redrow will even help towards the estate agent’s fees, making the initiative a reliable and efficient way to move property.
