Record-Breaking Turnout for Rhyl’s 10th Annual Free Play Day

Nearly 3,500 children and families flocked to Christchurch Playing Fields in Rhyl on 6 August for Denbighshire’s 10th annual Free National Play Day. Organised by the council’s Play Ranger service, the event featured a waterslide, foam party, den building, arts and crafts, and more. Described as the “busiest and best” since its launch in 2015, the celebration highlighted the importance of play in children’s wellbeing and has become a summer holiday favourite across the county.
