ANOTHER TROPHY IN THE CABINET FOR ACUITY LAW
Leading commercial law firm Acuity Law has added another trophy to its cabinet after one of its own took home the award for Best Professional in Business at the 2nd Welsh Women’s Awards 2022.
Claire Knowles, Head of Employment and HR at Acuity, took home the accolade at the event created to celebrate Welsh female success, held at Portland House in Cardiff.
A Spokesperson for the awards said: “Congratulations to all winners and finalists at the 2nd Welsh Women’s Awards 2022. We were delighted to host exceptional finalists who make brilliant role models and are leading a new generation of women and girls to greater success and more open doors. We look forward to growing this campaign and are excited to see it how it evolves over coming years.”
The award is just one in a string of many recent successes for the top law firm, which has offices in Cardiff, Swansea, London and most recently Bristol.
Acuity was named Property Law Firm of the Year at Insider’s Wales Property Awards in June. The award was in recognition of its work on the sale of three development sites in Cardiff’s Dumballs Road; the development of a leisure site in the Afan Valley and the launch of a private rented sector housing business. Acuity has advised on close to £1 billion worth of property transactions in Wales over the past year.
In May, Employment Solicitor Adam McGlynn, based at Acuity’s Cardiff office, took home the gong for Rising Star at the 2022 Wales Legal Awards, after he was recognised for his contribution to developing Acuity Law’s leading technology platforms.
On the firm’s recent awards success, Commercial Director, Adele Carter commented: “We are so pleased that Claire has been professionally recognised for all that she has contributed to our firm in the seven years she has been with us.
“Her award adds to a growing list for our talented team members in recent months and is testament to the contribution they have made to Acuity’s recent success and expansion.
“We are working on some really ground-breaking projects and we look forward to showcasing what else we have achieved in the coming months.”
Established in 1999, the Acuity team has grown to more than 100 exceptional and instinctively commercial lawyers working throughout the UK, including 25 consultants shaping the business’ growing consultant community.
