Bereavement charity 2wish announces move to new office premises with brand new spaces dedicated for families grieving the loss of a child

2wish, the charity dedicated to supporting families who have lost a child or young person under the age of 25, has announced the opening of their new office premises in Ynysmaerdy.
After years of providing vital services from their original headquarters at Magden Park, Llantrisant, the charity has moved to a larger, more accessible location in Sterling Drive, Ynysmaerdy to better serve the growing needs of bereaved families.
The new office is bright, spacious, and designed with the wellbeing of both staff and families in mind. A key feature of the premises is the brand-new
family room, where bereaved parents and families can speak privately with 2wish professionals. This room offers a compassionate and safe space for families seeking much-needed emotional support after the sudden and tragic loss of a child or young person.
In addition to the family room, the new premises also has a beautiful landscaped garden, where staff and guests can take a walk, relax, and reflect in a peaceful setting. This tranquil space has been created to provide a sense of comfort and calm for those who are facing the most difficult moments of their lives.
Rhian Mannings, CEO of 2wish said, “We are absolutely thrilled to have the keys to our new office and to be able to offer a fresh and welcoming environment for our families. What makes this move even more special is that we are now located next to Little Inspirations nursery in Llantrisant, where my son, George, attended before his sudden passing in 2012. From my new office window, I can see ‘Georgie’s Den,’ the play area dedicated to George’s memory, which means the world to me.”
Rhian continued, “The connection between 2wish and Little Inspirations is incredibly meaningful. Janine Gill, the company director at Little Inspirations, is a Business Ambassador for 2wish, and to be so close to the nursery where George spent part of his early years is truly special. It feels like a full-circle moment, and I’m incredibly grateful to have this proximity to both the charity’s work and the place that holds such personal significance.
“The new location in Sterling Drive offers improved facilities, increased space for the team, and a more accessible area for families seeking support.
With the addition of the family room and garden, 2wish is able to enhance the care and services it provides to grieving families across Wales.”
The move to the new premises comes as part of 2wish’s ongoing mission to support families who have suffered the heartbreaking loss of a child or young person. The charity continues to provide practical and emotional support, from counselling to peer support groups, and aims to help families through one of the most devastating experiences anyone can endure.
