BGF bolsters its Cardiff team with new investor
BGF, the UK and Ireland’s most active investor in growing businesses, recruits Hannah Waters as an investor in Cardiff.
Hannah joins from Grant Thornton, where she spent five years in the Corporate Finance and Restructuring and Reorganisation teams in Wales. A chartered accountant, Hannah brings transactional experience from across the region, particularly in the healthcare and business support services sectors.
She joins Edwin Davies who has led BGF’s activities in South Wales since the opening of the Cardiff office in April 2018.
Hannah’s role at BGF will see her working across all areas of the investment process, meeting entrepreneurs and management teams, seeking new investment opportunities and working with BGF’s extensive portfolio.
Commenting on her appointment, Hannah said:

BGF’s investments in Wales include: £10m to BVG Group, the multichannel retailer for clothing, footwear and household products, £3m to DevOpsGroup, the empowering IT consultancy and £2m to Wales Environmental,the liquid waste removal and drainage services company.
