Bigger is better at new Swansea flooring store

A fast-growing national flooring retailer has chosen Swansea as the location for its latest and largest store.

Flooring Superstore is coming to the city with the opening of a store on Cwmdu Park, on Carmarthen Road.

It is investing £120,000 in the 8,800 square foot store, which will create four new jobs for local people when it opens on Saturday 10th October.

This will be the 22nd Flooring Superstore to open in the UK in just three years and the biggest to date.

It will provide shoppers with access to an unrivalled range of carpets but also a huge choice of other flooring, such as vinyl, laminate, real wood, luxury vinyl tiles, EvoCore and the UK’s largest selection of artificial grass.

Flooring Superstore Regional Manager Ian Robinson said:

“We’re very excited to be opening our latest store in Swansea and to be able to bring a significant investment and jobs to this part of Wales.

“It means shoppers in Swansea will be able to have all their flooring needs met under one roof and at online prices.”

Flooring Superstore started life in 2012 as purely an online brand but it began opening physical stores in 2017 and now has outlets stretching across the length of the UK, from Scotland and Wales, to the south coast of England.

Ian added: “We’ve been growing at a very rapid rate, with plans to open more stores in the rest of 2020 and into 2021.

“Swansea will be our second store in Wales, following the opening of a store in Newport in 2018, and it forms an important part of our growth strategy.
