Bridgend MP Jamie Wallis has publicly revealed he is the UK’s first transgender MP, having been diagnosed with gender dysmorphia. Dr. Wallis revealed the news in a moving statement published on Twitter today.

In a later statement, the MP said he will continue to use him/his pronouns at this time while he adjusts to his new open life.
