Bridgend County Borough Council and their partner, Awen Cultural Trust have announced that facilities at Bryngarw Country Park will be closed until further notice.
Awen Cultural Trust explained in a statement:
“Bryngarw Country Park will be closing its car park, visitor centre and public toilets at 4pm today, Sunday 22nd March. The facilities will remain closed until further notice.
The health and wellbeing of our staff, volunteers and visitors must be our top priority so we are taking this measure to reduce the numbers who travel to Bryngarw.
“The park is still accessible to the local community arriving by foot, but we would urge everyone to observe the government’s social distancing guidance.
Going for a walk and enjoying the fresh air if individuals are well is encouraged, providing individuals stay more than 2 metres away from others, at all times.
“If you have bought a ticket for an event which will be postponed or cancelled as a result of this closure, we will be in touch as soon as possible.
“Thank you for your continued support.”
