Bute news for Chwarae Teg Womenspire Awards
A leading Welsh awards ceremony, which celebrates the achievements of inspirational women, has welcomed Bute Energy as headline sponsor.
Committed to smashing glass ceilings for women within its industry, the company is supporting the Chwarae Teg Womenspire Awards 2023, which recognise women making a difference across the nation.
The gender equality charity runs the event to highlight and champion the contributions of remarkable women from all walks of life. This is well aligned with Bute Energy as it maintains a steadfast dedication to propelling gender equality forwards, as it continues to design and develop renewable energy projects in Wales, for Wales. The developer will not only deliver clean electricity, but will power economic wellbeing through ideas, investment, jobs and skills.
Bute Energy itself celebrates a wealth of women staff who are trailblazers and pioneers within its sector. It has launched initiatives that open new doors for women and girls – including promoting and mentoring girls in STEM, attracting industry leading women to its boards, as well as introducing HR activities that support women at every stage of their lives.
Now in their eighth year, the Womenspire Awards will be held at Tramshed, Cardiff on Thursday 9th November, whilst being simultaneously broadcast online via YouTube, Facebook Live and LinkedIn Live.
Catryn Newton, Community Benefit, Director Bute Energy, said:
“At Bute Energy, we’re passionate about driving gender equality in the energy sector as we know it is paramount when leading innovation and fostering a dynamic workforce.
“Through our support for the Womenspire Awards and partnership with Chwarae Teg we’re committed to advancing and supporting an environment where diversity thrives, and everyone’s potential is realised. Together, we’re shaping a more inclusive future for women and our industry in Wales.”
Lucy Reynolds, Chief Executive, Chwarae Teg, said:
“Womenspire is an awards ceremony like no other, and we are delighted that Bute Energy has joined us as headline sponsor. This demonstrates that the company is an engaged player when it comes to gender equality and is passionate about helping women to achieve and prosper. Thanks to its support, at Womenspire 2023, we can do more than ever to showcase our incredible finalists.
“Together we can shine a light on the individuals and organisations working towards making gender equality a reality in Wales and share their stories with some of the most engaged and proactive women in Wales and their employers.”
