Buyers can’t wait for bungalow show home in Morriston
WITH brand new bungalows in short supply, buyers are travelling for three hours to view a show home in the same style as properties being built in North Swansea.
All 28 homes in the first phase of Parc Ceirw Garden Village in Morriston are bungalows.
The properties from Edenstone Homes are currently being sold “off plan”, with a three-bedroom Budleigh style show home due to open on Saturday, March 7. In the meantime, potential purchasers have been travelling to River View Garden Village in Lydney, Gloucestershire.
Sales director Adele McCoy explained: “Bungalows account for just 2% of all homes built last year, but we’re bucking the trend and building them in several locations, including Morriston and Lydney. Viewing, for many, is a key part of the buying process and because bungalows are so rare, they want to be able to try before they buy. A number of those considering purchasing at Parc Ceirw Garden Village have made the three-hour round trip to see the show home at Lydney rather than wait until they can view a finished property here.”
There are four styles of bungalow available at Parc Ceirw, including the three-bedroom Boscombe, which is very similar to the show home at River View.
The Boscombe offers 816sq ft of living space.
It features a combined kitchen and dining room, with stainless steel oven, induction hob and integrated fridge freezer. The lounge is at the rear, with French doors offering easy access to the garden.
The master bedroom benefits from an en-suite, leaving the family bathroom to serve the remaining two bedrooms.
“Feedback from visitors to River View is that the Boscombe is surprisingly spacious. They say it’s almost like apartment living with the added bonus of a garden and garage,” Adele added.
“Plus unlike in an apartment, there’s no need to worry about noise from neighbours above or below! It’s a great solution for those who want a more manageable or easily accessible home because of mobility issues, but is also well-suited to other buyers including young families who want the convenience of having everything on one level.”
Two and three-bedroom bungalows at Parc Ceirw Garden Village are currently priced from £184,995.
The wider development of circa 300 homes and community facilities across 35 acres will take a round five years to complete.
“The new Budleigh show home at Parc Ceirw is a must-see, even for those who’ve visited River View” Adele added.
“We’re confident buyers of all ages will love the layout – including an unexpected feature in such a traditional looking home.”
Work on the second phase, featuring properties from Bluebell Homes, is underway with the first of those homes now on sale “off plan”.
The garden village will also be home to a new community park featuring a play area, kick about area, woodland and nature trail. There will also be natural habitat areas, a community hub building, electric car charging facilities and gym equipment.
The marketing suite at Parc Ceirw Garden Village, on Maes Y Gwernen Road, Morriston, is open daily from 10.30am to 5pm, with the Budleigh show home opening from Saturday, March 7.
