Cae Mor Hotel in Llandudno reopens after major renovation
A cherished Victorian-era hotel has reopened its doors following an extensive refurbishment.
Cae Mor Hotel, located on Llandudno’s promenade, has been a steadfast supporter of the town’s top trade – tourism – since its inception in 1890.
Thanks to significant investment, the seafront hotel has today unveiled a brand-new look, highlighting its position as a premier accommodation provider within the destination and strengthening Llandudno’s status as a town of revival and growth.
Using a wealth of local providers, suppliers and tradespeople, the hotel’s infrastructure has undergone a modern redesign while preserving its classic charm. The refurbishment includes 22 rooms, 15 of which offer stunning views of North Wales’ iconic coastline, paying homage to the region’s natural nautical beauty.
The reinvestment has also created 20 new jobs, providing employment and progression opportunities for residents across multiple industries.
Accessible rooms and family rooms are also available, highlighting the owners’ dedication to diversification and portraying Llandudno as a vibrant, welcoming resort for young families. The refurbished hotel, located next door to Venue Cymru, also hopes to appeal to business delegates and corporates attending business events, concerts, and conferences.
Guest comfort and convenience is at the top of the list, according to General Manager Nicola, and the team. Commenting on the new facilities, Nicola said: “Cae Mor Hotel boasts the spacious car parking facilities on the promenade, which is something that’s coveted by many of our guests, as well as air conditioning throughout the property.”
The hotel’s 1890 Restaurant & Bar has also been revamped into a luxury fine dining that highlights the best of Welsh cuisine, using locally sourced ingredients in line with the brand’s cultural ethos and sustainability goals.
Nicola added: “It’s been a pleasure working as part of this team, and we look forward to going above and beyond for our guests to ensure our standards match our new look. Llandudno is a thriving destination, and it’s our goal to continue promoting this fantastic destination, encouraging footfall, and welcoming guests from far and wide to this fabulous town.
“Although it’s a Victorian gem, it’s our responsibility to bring it into the modern era, and we feel we have done this by combining the building’s original charm with some much-needed modern conveniences.”
Cae Mor Hotel’s transformation marks a new chapter in its long history of hospitality, promising an elevated experience for all visitors. For more information or to make a reservation, guests are encouraged to visit the hotel’s website: https://caemorhotel.co.uk/
