Welsh business owners invited to Cyber Security Conference 2019
The Cyber Security Conference, 2019 is set to highlight the importance of strong cyber policies within a business, where attacks are becoming more commonplace by the day.
With over 40% of businesses reporting a data breach in 2018, one of Wales’ longest established IT companies is set to show businesses why cyber policies are a must, despite only 27% having a formal policy in place.
At the Vale Hotel & Spa, Hensol, on Friday 22nd February, CSG Computer Services Group along with leading security vendor Sophos, data backup vendor Datto, and Wales’ leading Cyber Security Consultancy Wolfberry, will be demonstrating how easy it can be to compromise a system.
The event is a must for any organisation wanting to understand more about the growing threat of cyber-crime. Directors and IT Managers will learn how criminals breach systems and what solutions they can introduce to proactively counteract such threats.
“2018 was an eye opening year for cyber-crime, not just here in the UK but around the globe. We learnt that it is not just large corporations that are being hit, but smaller businesses are becoming a focus, as cyber security is not always high on the list of priorities,” said Rhodri Griffiths, Technical Operations Manager at CSG Computer Services Group.
Griffiths continued:
“The purpose of the event is to highlight how easy it can be to hack into a company website and even infect a server with ransomware. Businesses need to take cyber-crime seriously instead of pretending that an attack won’t happen to them.”
