Careers Wales launches two new exciting digital careers support tools

Careers Wales has launched two new digital tools designed to help individuals across Wales explore job opportunities and make more informed decisions about their future.
The Job Search tool and the Decision Making Quiz are now live on the Careers Wales website. The tools are part of Careers Wales’ continued work to improve access to careers support and provide practical, user-friendly resources for people of all ages.
Job Search
The new Job Search tool allows users to explore live job vacancies across Wales, thanks to an automatic feed from the Department for Work and Pensions’ (DWP) “Find a Job” service.
The tool enables users to:
- Search and filter vacancies, including apprenticeships, by industry category, location, salary range, and contract type
- Find opportunities with “Disability Confident” employers
- Discover which jobs are available locally
- Broaden their awareness of the job market
Emma Benger, Working Wales project manager at Careers Wales, said: “We’re excited to offer customers a simple and accessible way to find job opportunities.
“The new Job Search tool is an excellent addition to the website, expanding the range of services to help people find employment. It supports career planning by providing real-time job data and sparking ideas for what’s possible next.”
The Job Search tool is available on the Careers Wales website in English and Welsh.
Decision Making Quiz
The new Decision Making Quiz is a quick and easy tool designed to help users understand their decision-making style. No sign-in is required, but those who log in can save their results for future use.
The quiz is particularly useful for:
- Year 9 students choosing GCSE subjects
- Young people exploring post-16 and post-18 options
- Individuals receiving exam results and deciding what’s next
- Career changers considering new directions
- Anyone feeling uncertain about their next steps
Emma Blandon, head of digital and communications at Careers Wales, said: “Making informed decisions about your future can be challenging, regardless of your age or situation.
“The Decision Making Quiz helps individuals reflect on how they make choices and learn practical techniques to build confidence in their decisions.
“Whether you’re a student, job seeker, or career changer, this tool offers guidance to help you take the next step with clarity.”
