Changes to Community Recycling Centre Opening Hours
New opening hours for Community Recycling Centres in Bridgend County Borough will come into effect from Tuesday 6 February.
The three recycling centres in Tythegston, Brynmenyn and Maesteg will each close for one day a week, as part of a budget saving exercise following a public consultation held in 2023.
The closure days have been staggered so that a minimum of two sites always remain available to the public, and after studying footfall at each site, the least busy days were earmarked for closure.
- Tythegston – Tuesdays
- Brynmenyn – Wednesdays
- Maesteg – Thursdays
The move has been developed to help the council meet an urgent need to reduce its waste services budget as part of the 2023-24 medium-term financial strategy.
