A charity providing palliative care for children has received a £1,500 donation from the Amazon fulfilment centre in Swansea.

Tŷ Hafan provides holistic palliative care for children with life-shortening conditions and their families throughout Wales. The hospice, based in Sully, provides a wide range of care and support, including short break care and symptom control, allowing families to enjoy time together and create memories.

The donation from Amazon Swansea will go towards supporting local Swansea families.

Speaking on the donation, Christopher Law, General Manager at Amazon in Swansea, said:

“We’re pleased to support such a fantastic charity. Tŷ Hafan supports so many families in Swansea and throughout Wales with compassion and specialist care, and we hope this donation will lend a helping hand.”

Rhys Milsom, an employee at Amazon in Swansea who nominated the charity for support, added:

“The great work the team at Tŷ Hafan does is powered by public support, and this donation will be warmly welcomed. Thanks so much to the Amazon Swansea team for their support.”

Jenna Lewis, from Tŷ Hafan, added:

“From all of us at Tŷ Hafan, we want to say a big thank you to Christopher and the team at Amazon in Swansea for this donation. At Tŷ Hafan, we believe every child with a life-shortening illness deserves happiness and meaningful moments, and community support helps us make this happen.”

The donation to Tŷ Hafan was made as part of Amazon’s programme to support the communities around its operating locations across the UK.
