Customer Services
The Council’s Contact Centre (C2BG) and Community Hubs will close at 12.30pm on Friday 23rd December and re-open as normal on Tuesday, 3rd January 2023.
The Emergency out-of-hours service can be contacted on the usual number of 01495 311556 during this period.
Social Services Duty Team
The Duty Referral Team will be available until 12.30pm on Friday, 23rd December and 9am until 5pm on 29th and 30th December. At all other times the Emergency Duty Referral Team can be contacted via 0800 328 4432 The Team will be back usual hours from Tuesday, 3rd January 2023.
The call monitoring service of the lifeline alarms will continue to operate as usual. However, as from 12.30pm on Friday 23rd December 2022 until 9am on Tuesday 3rd January 2023 please contact the Community Housing Group on 0300 003 5367 for any urgent maintenance/repairs in relation to lifeline alarms/assistive technology equipment.

Waste & Recycling
Recycling and refuse collections will be one day late over the Christmas period.
Nappy and Hygiene sacks will be collected from the usual collection point on Friday 23rd December 2022 & Saturday 31st December 2022.
Collections return to normal Monday, 2nd January 2023.
Household Waste and Recycling Centres will be open during the Christmas and New Year period between the hours of 9am and 5.30pm. Roseheyworth site is closed every Tuesday
and New Vale every Thursday. Both sites will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.

Registration Service
The Registration service will be unavailable over the Christmas period, except for Death Registrations only on Thursday, 29th December and Friday, 30th December, between 10am and 2pm. Registration of deaths by appointment only. Open from Tuesday 3rd January 2023, normal working hours.
