Cosy Club launches initiative to celebrate International Women’s Day

Cosy Club has launched a UK wide initiative to celebrate International Women’s Day. For every Avocado Bunch sold on 8th March in the restaurant, a donation of 20p per brunch will be made to the national charity Young Women’s Trust.

Young Women’s Trust is an incredible organisation that works to achieve economic justice for young women, aged 18-30, by challenging sexist work roles, encouraging women to raise their voice, breaking career stereotypes and creating equality within workplaces.

The money raised from the Avocado Brunch sales will go towards helping women with job applications and work advice.
Cosy Club will also be honouring some legendary women from a bygone era on their social media, including Dorothy Parker, Coco Chanel, Rosa Parks, Josephine Baker, Frida Kahlo and Nellie Bly.

Amber Wood, Managing Director of Cosy Club commented:

“With economic inequality still being a real global problem, we feel very passionately at Cosy Club about supporting women in our society. We are looking forward to partnering with Young Women’s Trust, a charity that does vital work to support women in achieving their goals and having equal opportunities.

“Bring your friends and family in to enjoy an Avocado Brunch for a good cause and celebrate International Women’s Day with us!”
Commenting on the initiative, Sophie Walker, CEO at Young Women’s Trust, said, “Our mission is to give economic power to young women by firing their imaginations and aspirations and raising their voices, by challenging sexist work roles that trap young women in poverty and rebuilding workplaces free from discrimination and inequality. That’s why we’re so grateful for Cosy Club’s support – you’re helping to make young women’s economic justice a reality.”

The Avocado Brunch donation initiative is launching across all Cosy Club restaurants in the UK on Sunday 8th March, for more information visit https://cosyclub.co.uk/event/international-womens-day.
