Dame Nia Griffith MP visits Maximus office in Llanelli to see how employment support transforms lives
Dame Nia Griffith, Labour MP for Llanelli, visited the Maximus office on West End on Thursday 10 August to meet local participants and learn more about the local team’s work delivering specialised employment support in her constituency.
As a leading provider of employment support services in Wales, Maximus has supported thousands of people over the past year, helping them to overcome their barriers, learn new skills and find sustainable employment.
With more than 75 years’ experience in Wales, Maximus services are tailored to helping participants with a variety of needs. This includes groups typically disadvantaged in the labour market, including those who have a health condition or disability, the long-term unemployed and ex-offenders.
Maximus delivery in Llanelli is underpinned by the Community Partnership Network (CPN), which utilises the skills and expertise of dozens of local organisations in the public, private and third sectors to integrate and align services for jobseekers.
After meeting colleagues and local participants at our office, Dame Nia Griffith MP, said: “I was really pleased to visit the Maximus office, meet the staff and see for myself the great work going on that is helping people find work in our town. I welcome Maximus’s ongoing commitment to partnerships with local businesses and charities to deliver employment support. I look forward to seeing more of my constituents benefit from this support in the months ahead.”
