Do You Know Your Fennel From Your Fenugreek? A Dream £60k Job Awaits

If you know your fennel from your fenugreek then a restaurant group in Wales has a dream job up for grabs, touring the world’s most exotic locations in search of dazzling new taste combinations.

Rasoi Indian Kitchen, which has multi award-winning restaurants in Swansea, is hiring a Chief Spice Tester to help them source the most vibrant new spices and flavour combinations, in a bid to become the most inventive Indian eatery in the UK. The dream job comes with a very palatable £60k to £80k salary, with worldwide travel expenses covered too, for a March to September role.

Manager of Rasoi Indian Kitchen, Silviu Stanciu, says: “We’ve been considering hiring a Chief Spice Tester for a long time. Having someone on the team who has an open-minded and adventurous approach to flavour and food, who can source exciting new spice combinations from around the world will help to propel us to the next level. Here at Rasoi we import our spices from the Punjab but, of course, Sri Lanka, Japan, Indonesia, Mexico and other hot-spots all export quality spices and we want to make sure we are sourcing the very best.”

He adds: “We are already known for our inventive and top-quality food and we have always elevated what we do to be a cut above a standard Indian restaurant. This job vacancy is pretty special and we need someone with exceptional taste and culinary vision to help us move up to the next level. After going through a careful interview and selection process – which will involve several tasting sessions – the right candidate will travel to all corners of the globe with all expenses paid.”

Rasoi has been Wales’ leading Indian restaurant since 2011, winning numerous national awards. Candidates can apply using the following link:  https://www.rasoiwaterfront.co.uk/chief-spice-tester/

The successful candidate will not only have one of the best jobs in the world, but they and their family will also be entitled to receive an unlimited supply of food from Rasoi all year round
