Pontypool Town Football Club’s under eight’s team is helping raise money towards funeral costs for Myron Davies, a 15-year-old boy who sadly lost his life in a tragic accident at Abersychan quarry.

The team is holding a car wash this Sunday, July 17th, from 10am at the club’s carpark.

It will cost £5 per car, with all proceeds going to support Myron’s devastated family.

South Wales’ largest private hire and taxi firm, Dragon Taxis, is offering to pay for washes for driver-partners able to go along on Sunday and has also donated £250 to the cause.

Multiple fundraising events are being held in the local community, from the car wash to disco nights, all to support Myron’s parents Sarah and Paul at this devastating time.

Jack Price, Regional Director for Dragon Taxis said: “Dragon Taxis is very much at the heart of the local communities we serve and we were shocked and saddened to hear of the sudden passing of Myron.

“We wanted to help however possible, so we hope that our donation can help support his family with driver-partners attending the car wash further helping the fundraising effort.”
