EARLY SUCCESS FOR NEW HOMES IN COLWYN BAY AS HOUSEBUILDER LINKS WITH AGENT

Rydal View street scene plots 34-36

TWO eager buyers have reserved new homes in Colwyn Bay at the earliest opportunity and after linking with a local agent Castle Green Homes is set to build on that initial success.

Around 30 people attended a special preview event to find out more about new homes being built on land previously part of Rydal Penrhos School.

Sales director Sian Pitt said: “There’s a real buzz about the homes we’re building at The Paddocks at Rydal View. Lots of visitors had either attended Rydal themselves and had fond memories, or have children currently there. We took one reservation at the preview event and secured another just days later. It’s a solid start considering we won’t have a show home until the summer, and it’ll be autumn before the first properties will be ready to move into. We’re encouraging potential purchasers to create an account on our website and arrange an appointment with our sales team, but there’s also the option to discuss the development with independent agents Fletcher & Poole. They have a wealth of local knowledge and can help those who have a property to sell before they can buy from us.”

Fletcher & Poole has offices in Conwy and Rhos on Sea.

John Yates, general manager of Fletcher & Poole, said: “In terms of demand for new build homes in the area – it’s huge because there’s hardly any land to be had. People these days don’t want the hassle of renovations – they want turnkey properties, where everything is brand spanking new. There’s not a lot of competition in the area.

“We expect the homes Castle Green is building will attract a mix of local people and those from the surrounding area, while also pulling buyers from Cheshire and South Manchester, including upsizers and downsizers. There are a lot of people who will buy to be local to Rydal Penrhos School because it has a good reputation and is perhaps considered a more affordable private school.”

John described the location of the new homes in Colwyn Bay as “idyllic”.

“You feel more in the country, yet the beach and the local amenities are within walking distance. The transport links via bus, train or the A55 are superb,” he explained.

The Paddocks at Rydal View, being built by Castle Green Homes, will comprise of 55 new homes in a choice of three and four-bedroom designs. Current prices start from £424,995.

A future phase of larger and more luxurious properties in an elevated setting will follow and will be known as The Plateau at Rydal View.
