14.11.19 mh Effective Award 9

Award-winning Cardiff communications agency Effective Communication is one of the first Public Relations providers in Wales to be recognised as a Leading Employer by prominent gender equality charity, Chwarae Teg.

Over the past year, Effective Communication – which recently celebrated its 15th anniversary – has been taking part in the game-changing Agile Nation2 Business Programme.

The Llandaff-based company has built a workplace where all employees work to their highest potential while improving gender equality and diversity.

The award is in recognition of Effective’s 11 employees regarding and rating the business’ practices and procedures as consistent with the FairPlay Employer Award’s Leading criteria, which is the level that sits above Developing or Achieving levels.

Effective Communication operates a flexible working policy. Its diverse and truly balanced workforce was asked to rate the company’s strengths and weaknesses. The company’s award application was supported by Chwarae Teg’s expert team who provided best practice progress plans, consultancy days and workshops.

Effective Communication has retained long-standing clients including Camelot and Cardiff Metropolitan University, while significant new brands coming on board with Effective in 2019 include Veezu Group Ltd, NAT Group and Seasons Holidays.

Alastair Milburn, Effective Communication’s Founder and Managing Director, said:

It’s thanks to our team that we have been awarded this level of success, as their opinions were sought and taken into account. This is a great end to another prosperous and successful year of business.

We have honed a robust, adaptable and expert team who consistently meet any industry challenges and continue to offer our clients outstanding expertise. This is a very exciting time for the company and we are well equipped to drive the business further.”
