ENRICHED EGGS SPONSOR CHESHIRE AND NORTH WALES BASED ATHLETES ON THEIR ROW ACROSS THE ATLANTIC OCEAN

Enriched Eggs, a leading provider of free range nutrient-packed eggs, is proud to announce its sponsorship of two determined athletes, William Lomas and Adam Hardman, as they prepare to row across the Atlantic Ocean. The duo will embark on this gruelling challenge buoyed by a training programme fuelled by Enriched Eggs, which will help enable the rowers to build their strength and stamina ahead of the journey.
As part of the partnership, Enriched Eggs will supply the rowers with their premium range of eggs to assist their training, helping to maintain muscle health and boost recovery. Known for their naturally enriched Eggs, they provide an ideal source of protein and are rich in vitamins B12 and D– which are crucial for the physically demanding test ahead.
“We’re thrilled to support these athletes as they take on one of the world’s toughest rowing challenges,” said Ruth McGrath from Enriched Eggs. “Our mission is to fuel performance through high-quality nutrition, and we couldn’t think of a better opportunity to demonstrate that than by powering these men across the Atlantic.”
William Lomas and Adam Hardman are scheduled to begin their journey on the 12th December 2024 rowing non-stop from San Sebastian in La Gomera, Canary Islands, Spain to Nelson’s Dockyard, English Harbour in Antigua & Barbuda.
“We’d like to thank Enriched Eggs for their amazing support. The eggs have been a fantastic addition to our exercise and nutrition plan, particularly with the extra Vitamin D that has been a great help for our bone and muscle function. Neither of us are what you would call seasoned athletes, but we share a passion for water sports, challenge and adventure, so when the opportunity arose, we both jumped at the chance to participate. I mean, more people have climbed Everest! Our strategy is to row fast, stay safe and, importantly, find reasons to laugh along the way.”
The World’s Toughest Row promises to be a thrilling spectacle. The annual race begins on 12th December 2024, with up to 40 teams participating from around the world. The test of endurance involves rowing for 2 hours and sleeping for 2 hours, constantly, 24 hours a day for approximately 60 days. Each crew member will need to consume 6,000 calories a day and drink 10 litres of water and will still expect to lose on average 12 kg. Will and Adam will hope to arrive in Antigua in February 2025.
