ERS raises over 4,000 for Swansea charities.

More than £4,000 has been raised for good causes in Swansea, thanks to the efforts of ERS, the UK’s leading specialist motor insurer, and the wider IQUW Group. The company’s fundraising committee organised events, collections, and donations to help those in need, making a real difference in the local community.

The fundraising began with the company’s annual charity quiz night, where 11 teams competed for the top spot. Between entry donations and raffle ticket sales, the evening raised £670 for the group’s chosen charity.

In the lead-up to Christmas, the group turned their attention to supporting Swansea Foodbank. A collection drive saw 153kg of food and supplies donated, which provided 15 emergency food parcels for local families. Employees also volunteered their time across foodbank locations during November and December, helping with stock replenishment and sorting donations during what is traditionally their busiest time of year. The team’s efforts were warmly received, with Swansea Foodbank praising their hard work and enthusiasm.

To further support their vital work in the community during the festive season, IQUW Group donated £2,000 to Swansea Foodbank.

The fundraising continued at the Group Christmas Party, held in Swansea City Centre in December. While the event itself was funded by IQUW Group, attendees were asked to contribute £5 each, raising £820 for the company’s chosen charity.

ERS and IQUW Group are now looking ahead to their 2025 plans, which include continuing to support Swansea Foodbank with donations, volunteering, and food collections during key periods such as Easter, school holidays, and Christmas.

Taylor John, Charity Committee, ERS and IQUW Group, said:

“We’re incredibly proud of the efforts of the group and fundraising committee. It’s fantastic to see such a strong commitment to giving back to the local community. From volunteering to organising events, everyone has gone above and beyond to support Swansea Foodbank and other good causes. We’re excited to build on this momentum during 2025.”

ERS operates a 33,000 sq. ft site at Crucible Park, Swansea Vale, which it first moved to in 2015. Offering specialist motor insurance for supercars, classic cars, taxis, minibuses, fleets, haulage and agricultural vehicles, ERS in Swansea serves as a hub for various roles, including underwriting, claims, customer service, administration, and technical positions. The company employs close to 500 people at its Swansea office, with plans to fill an additional 50 positions in the coming months.
