Staff and pupils at a Fforestfach primary school have received a £1,000 donation from the Amazon fulfilment centre in Swansea.

Cadle Primary School encourages pupils to have high aspirations and to recognise, celebrate and develop their unique and diverse talents. The curriculum at Cadle Primary School equips pupils with skills for life, with an importance placed on always doing the best they can academically and socially.

Cadle Primary School is a Rights Respecting School and was one of the first schools in Swansea to be level two accredited. Staff and pupils at Cadle Primary School value giving pupils an opportunity to have their say, inviting all to join in with many of the school’s pupil voice groups which shape the way in which the school develops.

The donation from Amazon Swansea will go towards purchasing resources for the school and pupils for the academic year ahead.

Christopher Law, General Manager at Amazon in Swansea, said:

“Many of our team at Amazon in Swansea have children or loved ones attending the school, and we’re pleased to support the staff and pupils with this donation.”

Aneta Smolenska, an ICQA Team Lead at Amazon in Swansea who nominated the charity for this donation, added:

“My son loves going to Cadle Primary School, which is a great feeling for a parent. The staff will be so pleased to receive this donation.”

Adelle Gurnsey, from Cadle Primary School added:

“Thank you, Christopher and team, for sending this donation our way. We aim for all pupils to thrive and reach their full potential through a genuine enjoyment of learning. This donation will be a boost to the school community.”

The donation to Cadle Primary School was made as part of Amazon’s programme to support the communities around its operating locations across the UK.
