Taking place online from 10-10.45am on Thursday 26 June, the Big Money Ready Lesson is a free 45-minute interactive session aimed at secondary schools and youth organisations, led by Money Ready’s expert financial education trainers.
The session will cover:
-
Online scams
-
Phishing
-
In-game scams
-
Product and shopping scams
“The financial world is evolving at an unprecedented rate, with new risks and opportunities emerging all the time – whether that’s digital banking, crypto, buy-now-pay-later schemes, or the influence of social media on spending habits,” says Leon Ward, CEO of Money Ready. “Financial education helps people understand how to assess the advice and guidance they find, as well as the risks, which is why we’re hosting the free Big Money Ready Lesson to give teens the tools they need to stay safe online.”
As well as the expert-led, live online lesson, Money Ready will share follow up activities to help teenagers continue learning after the Big Money Ready Lesson. If your school or organisation works with teens, don’t miss out on this valuable, free learning opportunity.
