Food parcel arrangements for school pupils
Food parcels will be delivered to home addresses this week for secondary school pupils in Years 9 and above who are eligible for free school meals.
With pupils in Year 7 and Year 8 returning to school today (November 2) along with pupils who attend infant, junior, primary and special schools, there are reduced numbers of pupils receiving a food parcel this week.
As a result there is a change of delivery day for some areas.
Anyone who has previously opted out of the provision will not receive a food parcel.
The weekly food parcel contains food items to provide both breakfast and lunch for a child for five days.
