Free business support offered in Wrexham & Rhyl as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week

North Wales’ budding entrepreneurs are being given the opportunity to access a host of business development, guidance and networking sessions free of charge in celebration of Global Entrepreneurship Week (8 – 12 Nov).

Starting on Monday 8th November, the events will be held at the Wrexham Enterprise Hub and the Costigan’s Coworking Space in Rhyl and is open to anyone looking to grow their businesses or get involved and take advantage of the facilities.

Town Square Spaces Ltd (TownSq), which operates both hubs, say the event will help individuals to develop their business ideas and introduce them to the types of enterprise support and networking opportunities available at the coworking spaces. Workshops will include a marketing drop-in session, a women in business support surgery, a coffee morning for local business networking and a ‘meet the experts’ Q&A with a range of industry specialists.

The event also aims to encourage local businesses to apply for the range of funding, grants and bursaries available, many of which can be accessed through the hubs.

Attendees will have the chance to use all the coworking facilities for free for the week, including a one-hour meeting room slot, one-to-one time with staff to discuss specific business support requirements and objectives, and the opportunity to network with the wide range of businesses in the community.

Carl Turner, TownSq’s Community Director for the North, said: “Starting a business from scratch can be daunting, even when you’ve got a great idea, so we felt that Global Entrepreneurship Week would be an ideal opportunity to offer support to anyone that needs it and give them a push in the right direction.

“By inviting people into our spaces for the week, we hope that they not only benefit from the scheduled support sessions but also from the network-building and collaboration opportunities that coworking provides. Not only will they have access to business support from staff at the hubs, but they will work alongside like-minded business people who have themselves failed and succeeded and can offer valuable guidance.

“Our funding opportunities will also hopefully help some deserving businesses and entrepreneurs to overcome financial barriers to joining a coworking space or starting their company and bring in a new cohort of diverse members to our already thriving and growing communities.”
