Gallagher appointed as insurance broker for Cardiff accountancy firm

Insurance broker Gallagher has been appointed by Cardiff-headquartered accountancy firm SBL Carston Limited, to support the business with its insurance and risk management programme as it seeks to expand its office footprint across the UK.

SBL Carston Limited provides auditing, corporate finance, tax planning and payroll services. The firm operates three specialist brands: Carston Chartered Accountants, Sinclairs Bartrum Lerner and Sampson West. Established over 75 years ago, the business is headquartered on Cathedral Road in Cardiff, with additional offices in the Vale of Glamorgan and London, with clients ranging from multinational companies, through to small and medium enterprises (SMEs), sole traders and individuals.

In 2015, SBL Carston Limited became part of ETL Global UK, an international network of professional service firms, with offices in more than 50 countries – enabling the business to further enhance the strength and depth of its services and specialisms.

Following a competitive tender, Gallagher was appointed as a result of the broker’s clear understanding of SBL Carston Limited’s risk and insurance requirements and its growth ambitions, which include opening further UK offices over the coming years. Gallagher was able to negotiate SBL Carston Limited’s insurance cover that saw premiums reduce whilst increasing certain aspects of cover.
