Residents and communities across Denbighshire are urged to get creative in sharing their thoughts on what would make the county more age-friendly.
Ideas and contributions received will be displayed, subject to permissions, to coincide with a visit from Helena Herklots, Wales’ Older People’s Commissioner when she visits the county to mark International Day of Older People on October 1st.
Ideas are welcome on a range of topics including transport; housing; outdoor spaces; social participation; respect and social inclusion; civic participation and employment; communication and information and community support and health services.
Councillor Elen Heaton, Cabinet Lead Member for Health and Social Care, said: “This is a great opportunity for residents across Denbighshire to get involved in shaping services for older people and share their creativity at the same time.
“We are asking people to get their thinking caps on, to get creative and share their ideas, pictures or poems on any of the main topics we’ve shared or if anyone else has any ideas on how we can be more age friendly. Our population is living longer and we are always looking at ways of how communities can support and provide advice and information for older people in an engaging and inclusive way”.
Any photographs or creative pieces of work shared will be returned.
The deadline for entries is 26 September.
