Gower Holiday Cottage owners celebrate great summer with new online bookings system
It’s already been a great summer for Gower Holiday Cottage company Hael Farm Cottages, their 5 star cottages are now fully booked until mid-September and enquiries are now beginning to roll in for next season.
The cottages include several just 100m from the blue flag beach at Port Eynon (above) as well as a gorgeous rural retreat at Southgate, a short walk from Pennard Castle.
Providing luxury holiday accommodation and maintaining the standards required for the prestigious rating is a real labour of love for the owners, Jon and Julie Dickson, who are passionate about the Gower region and let the cottages all year round.
Up until now, clients have requested the dates they wanted and owners Jon and Julie would contact customers personally with a price – it’s a strategy that has worked well and kept that personal touch over the years, but following client feedback and the extra busy Summer, the couple have invested in a new online bookings system designed by Bridgend-based South Wales Web Design specialists SWWS, enabling customers to now book live on the website.
Jon explains:
“We work really hard to maintain the 5 star rating our cottages have earned, and Julie and I do everything ourselves apart from a little help on social media. Clients always remark on the little personal touches we try to add, from providing a welcome basket to our little ‘welcome book’ with suggestions on where to eat and visit. Many of our customers are more like friends we see a few times a year now!“However, our clients have long asked if we could have an automated online booking website so they could just book the cottages instantly online. SWWS were delighted to help – and the new website is even better than we had hoped for.”
