Great British Bake Off stars set to cook up a trick or treat at Redrow’s Cae St Fagans development

Stars of the Great British Bake Off Val and Louise will be back baking for this year’s Halloween celebrations at Redrow’s Cae St Fagans at Plasdŵr development in Cardiff.

On Sunday 27th October, from 11am to 3pm, prospective buyers and the local community are invited to the development for a day filled with seasonal activities in the build up to Halloween.

Val Stones and Louise Williams, whose expert skills in the kitchen were put to the test on the Channel 4 show back in 2016, will be creating some sweet and savoury Halloween themed treats as part of a baking demonstration. Visitors will get the chance to enhance their baking skills, taste some delicious creations as well as get answers to any of their burning baking questions.

At the event there will also be a pumpkin carver who will teach attendees the best technique for carving a pumpkin with your favourite design, as well as spooky stilt walkers and face painting for the children.

Louise, who is from Cardiff commented:

“I feel it is important to show that baking can be done in a normal household kitchen.

“Baking is my bliss and I relish the opportunity to pass on some hints and tips I have picked up over the years!”

Bev Wookey, sales director at Redrow South Wales, said:

“We are thrilled to have Val and Louise at our Halloween themed event at Cae St Fagans this year.

“These seasonal events are a great way for us to engage with the local community as well as show potential homeowners what life would be like in a Redrow home as well as learn some new skills such as baking and pumpkin carving.

“Members of the sales team will be on hand to answer any questions visitors may have and with face painting for kids there will be something for everyone at this event.”

The Cae St Fagans development, which has a range of three and four-bedroom homes available from £314,995, is within easy reach of excellent transport links and great schools, positioning it as a promising place for a family to grow.

The development, which forms part of Plasdwr, known as Cardiff’s Garden City, will deliver the homes and community the capital needs to fuel economic growth and provide a thriving place to live.
