GS Verde Group has entered into a joint venture to bring a specialist Patent Attorney advisory offering into its Group.
Alchemie IP will work alongside corporate law firm Greenaway Scott and corporate finance advisors Verde Corporate Finance in the multidiscipline professional services GS Verde Group.

Dr Frith’s specialisms are in the chemical, medical, pharmaceutical and related technical fields.
Alchemie IP specialises in legal and strategic advisory services on intellectual property rights, in particular patents, registered design rights, trade marks and other unregistered rights. The business provides advice in relation to identifying, protecting, maintaining, defending and enforcing these intellectual property rights.
The core services offered by Alchemie IP include identifying patentable inventions, patentability advice and searches, drafting and prosecuting patent applications to grant worldwide, commercially focused and cost-effective patent filing strategies, freedom to operate searches and advice, Patent Box corporation tax relief, enforcing patents against competitors, and defending patents from attack by competitors.
Alchemie IP currently has offices in Cheshire and at the Harwell Innovation Centre in Oxford and the exclusive partnering agreement with GS Verde Group will see it expand its offering to Wales and the South West, establishing itself alongside Greenaway Scott and Verde Corporate Finance within the GS Verde Group offices in Cardiff and Bristol.
GS Verde Group is a specialist multidiscipline corporate advisory business. Its core services include mergers and acquisition, IP commercialisation, commercial contract and equity fundraising advice through the law firm Greenaway Scott and corporate finance firm Verde Corporate Finance.
The Group was founded in 2013 and has established offices in Cardiff and Swansea and also opened its latest office in Bristol in the last quarter of 2019.
It has seen continuous growth and in 2019 was recognised in the Fast Growth 50 as one of the fastest growing professional services businesses in the region. Since its launch in 2013 the Group has experienced 900% growth in revenue.
Rhian Osborne, founder and senior commercial director of GS Verde Group said
“We are really excited by this step which will expand the areas of expertise that we can call on in the Group and Alchemie IP fits so well with the teams at Greenaway Scott and Verde Corporate Finance.
“Our existing teams contain a number of lawyers with STEM backgrounds and we have established links with a number of Universities throughout the UK including Oxford University, so there is cross over already with Alchemie IP on a geographic basis.”
Dr Frith said:
“There is a great opportunity to offer our services alongside the GS Verde Group and the multidiscipline approach will offer our clients a streamlined, cost-effective and committed process from the start of their technology journey through to its exit.
I will personally be splitting my time between our existing offices and the new GS Verde Group offices and so look forward to developing links within the new regions that the partnering agreement will cover.”
